Pacific white-sided dolphins now at the new Gurdon & Kathy Wattles Marine Mammal Observatory.

Get a birds-eye view into the pools at the Aquatic Animal Study Center from the new observatory and see Pacific white-sided dolphins recently arrived from Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. These dolphins will be spending a short vacation here at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration as the Oceanarium at Shedd Aquarium is being renovated.

This is the first time Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration has had Pacific white-sided dolphins and we are excited to be able to share this wonderful experience with our visitors. The Study Center can house animals that are here for a short time from other facilities while their exhibits are being renovated, it also gives us the opportunity to bring in new animals and provides us with a place to rehabilitate rescued animals.

The Pacific white-sided dolphins are only here for a short time, so come visit and enjoy this rare and unique experience.

The new Gurdon & Kathy Wattles Marine Mammal Observatory is made possible through the generosity of the New York Community Trust, the Wattles Family Charitable Trust Fund, and Dr. George M. & Carol Milne.
