It is with deep sorrow that the Aquarium announces that Zhivago, the oldest northern fur seal ever to live at the aquarium, passed away from natural causes on December 1.
Aquarium and Ocean Blue Catering Host Big-Little Holiday Party
Even small companies and groups can have a big holiday party at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration. The Aquarium and Ocean Blue Catering will host its annual Big-Little Holiday Party on December 17 and 18 from 7 to 11 p.m. on the main exhibit floor.
The Aquarium hosted a rededication of the Arctic Coast exhibit on November 21 to recognize the generous gift from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation - the largest in the Aquarium's history - that made construction of the exhibit possible. A new educational partnership between the Aquarium, Mashantucket Pequots and village of Point Lay, Alaska, was also announced.
