A Friendly Fundraiser
May 20, 2008

The staff at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration is set to host a very special dinner and dessert night Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Friendly's Restaurant on Route 27 in Mystic.  A portion of all proceeds from restaurant sales generated between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, including take out, will be given back to Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration's Animal Enrichment Program to help purchase special toys for our animals!  Friendly's_Fundraiser.pdf

World Ocean’s Day
June 8, 2008

Visit the Aquarium on Sunday, June 8th and have fun discovering what the world’s oceans have to offer from shore birds to interesting fish adaptations and more. Did you know that over 70% of our planet is covered with water or that flounder transform from a normal appearing fish at birth to a round, flat fish in adulthood? Join us for exciting activities for all ages to have fun and learn about our wonderful ocean planet. Activities are free with your admission and are available from 11am to 4pm.

Fifth Annual ARK (Animal Rescue Kayak) and Bike Event
June 21, 2008

Join Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration at Bluff Point State Park, Groton, CT on Saturday, June 21st, 2008 for a day of adventure to benefit the Marine Aniaml Rescue Program. This event is open to participants from novice to expert or just be a virtual kayaker to help gather pledges for animal rescue. Bring the family and enjoy a day at the beach, full of fun and prizes!

Ocean Commotion

Put on your best black and white attire and join us for a memorable evening as the Aquarium transforms into an enchanting world of undersea beauty. Enjoy fine dining, dancing and a live auction! Our most elegant annual gala, Ocean Commotion raises important funds for Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration. Tables are available for $10,000, $5,000 and $1,500. National Estuaries Day & Cleanup
September 27, 2008

Join us at the Aquarium from 10am to 4pm for a fun filled day of activities, games, storytelling and live animal presentations as we celebrate National Estuaries Day and learn about Long Island Sound. Then, the following day on September 28 from 10am to 1pm you can help clean up our local estuary at Bluff Point State Park in Groton, CT. You’ll be joining millions of others around the world as we participate in the annual International Coastal Clean-Up Initiative. Activities are free with the cost of admission.
